The City of Whitefish is the first community in Flathead County to tackle the question: What should our town do to address climate challenges and create local solutions? Now the Whitefish Climate Action Plan Committee wants to hear from you! Share your thoughts at this link for an on-line survey.
Earlier this year, Mayor John Muhlfeld appointed a citizens committee to identify actions the city can take to reduce emissions, save energy costs, and promote community resilience in the face of climate-related disruptions such as wildfires, drought, and weird weather.
The survey describes the seven guiding principles of the Climate Action Plan and asks you to indicate your priorities. You also may provide specific suggestions, share general comments, and pose questions for the committee to address. The entire survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
The survey is online at this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8J7G773. You may also obtain and complete a hard copy of the survey at Whitefish City Hall.
